Once in a while, I adore a painting in a neutral palette. While I am naturally drawn to bold colours, the neutral scheme seems to be very calming even though in this case there is a very deep black and a highly contrasting white. Overall, it still has the effect of calmness. I chose the name 'Stanza' because it seemed to me to be very lyrical, like we're looking only at a section, like a stanza.

For abstract artist Soraya Silvestri, nature provides the inspiration for her art and practice.
